A Proven Leader in IBM Power Systems
Aaron joined ProActive Solutions in June 2024 as a Senior Solutions Architect. He has spent his career working with IBM Power Systems, starting as an administrator and evolving into an architect and systems engineer. His extensive experience spans industries such as healthcare, manufacturing, and transportation, where he has developed tailored compute and storage solutions for diverse clients. Aaron also played a key role in managing and growing a large firm’s managed services and hosting operations.
Expertise in IBM i and Power Systems
Aaron’s expertise centers on IBM i running on IBM Power Systems, leveraging IBM storage platforms. He understands the ongoing evolution of IBM Power, which continues to unify IT infrastructure and supports modern capabilities like containerization. Aaron is highly skilled in systems management, using both IBM and third-party tools to implement and maintain IBM i systems.
High Availability & Disaster Recovery Expertise
Specializing in high availability and disaster recovery (HA/DR), Aaron has hands-on experience in implementing and maintaining HA/DR solutions. His proficiency includes IBM i’s native backup and recovery features, along with tools like BRMS, Mimix, iTera, and SAN replication methods. Aaron helps clients enhance their disaster recovery strategies using IBM automation tools like PowerHA for IBM i with Full System Replication and FlashCopy.
A Well-Rounded Technical Perspective
In addition to his IBM Power expertise, Aaron brings a wealth of knowledge in x86 systems and storage, including SAN and tape technologies. With certifications from HP, Dell, and VMware, Aaron provides a comprehensive, cross-infrastructure perspective to our clients.
Outside Interests
Outside of work, Aaron is an avid music lover, frequently attending concerts across various genres. He looks forward to expanding his concert list in the years to come.
